Compliance matrix

A compliance matrix is a table mapping every requirement in a solicitation to the section of your response that addresses it, with a compliance status per row. Evaluators use it to verify coverage; response teams use it to guarantee nothing was missed.

Many public-sector and enterprise RFPs mandate a compliance matrix in the submission itself, and even when optional it is the single highest-leverage artifact for both sides: the evaluator can score coverage in minutes, and the response team gets a live checklist that surfaces gaps before the deadline instead of after. Building one by hand means re-reading the entire solicitation and cross-referencing your draft — exactly the mechanical extraction-and-mapping work that requirement-extraction tooling automates from the source document.
